DPK in the News/ AmLaw Litigation Daily “Shout Out”

The American Lawyer's Litigation Daily highlighted a recent victory from a team that included DPK partners Tom Dewey and Keara Bergin in an article titled “This Week's Litigator of the Week Runner-Up and Shout Outs” on February 19th.

“Shout out to a team led by Mike Miller at Steptoe & Johnson who this week convinced New York’s Appellate Division, First Department to revive a breach of contract claim Leonid Lebedev brought against Leonard Blavatnik and Viktor Vekselberg over $2 billion in proceeds from TNK-BP’s 2013 sale to Russian state-owned oil company Rosneft. The court also affirmed the lower court’s dismissal of counterclaims seeking to force Lebedev to indemnify the defendant’s litigation costs. The team representing Lebedev also includes Steptoe partners Leah Quadrino, Evan Glassman, and Charles Michael, and of counsel Jeremy Glen, as well as James Catterson of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer and Tom Dewey and Keara Bergin of Dewey Pegno & Kramarsky.”
